Run It
Conversations by Room
Run ItRun It.
The Live Event Production Hub and theater and performance operations: run of show, load in, the crew, the green room and the strike.

The Frame
The Night Is Won Before Doors
Write it down before anyone arrives.
A production is a set of promises kept at specific minutes: the truck at nine, the line check at four, the call at six, the cue at eight fifteen. The Run It room is about the documents and the people that keep those promises: the run of show, the load in schedule, the crew portal, the hospitality rider and the strike list.
Julie Good’s theater and music background runs through these conversations, and the guests are the technical directors, stage managers and venue managers who run San Antonio’s rooms and its biggest season.
Who this room is for: technical directors, stage managers, venue managers, theater companies and hospitality managers.

Conversations in Preparation
5 Conversations Planned for This Room
Working titles and briefs for the conversations in preparation. The first five follow the launch plan for the room; the rest are conversations the studio has already outlined. Episodes are recorded in the order the material is ready, and each one becomes a page on this site when it is published.
Run of Show
The minute by minute document for the night: cues, calls, who stands where, and the single version everyone backstage is reading.
Load In and Strike
The two ends of every production: the truck, the schedule, the crew call, the inventory and the strike list that returns the room by morning.
The Crew Portal
One place for the crew: the schedule, the plot, the contacts, the changes and the confirmations, on the phone in the pocket.
The Green Room
Hospitality as operations: the rider, the arrivals, the meals, the quiet room and the person who owns it.
Fiesta as a Production
San Antonio’s biggest season as a case study: permits, crews, stages, vendors and the calendar that ties a hundred events together.
